Battambang Cambodia Best Western Hotel

Olivia Rawes tells us why the city of Battambang in Cambodia should be an essential stop on your Southeast Asian trip. Batt Ambang is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia, but it may lack some of its traditional tourist attractions such as temples and temples. But with inviting cafes and extraordinary attractions, it is worth more than a detour to Cambodia. If you only spend one day in Batt Cambang, you can add the top attractions of this city to your list.

Browse our list of the best accommodation in Battambang and read our route suggestions for the best things to see and do. Browse our search to extend our Siem Reap recommendations to other cities in Cambodia, such as Phnom Penh and Phuket, and see our best hotels in the country as well as our top hotels for overnight stays. More articles will follow, including the best travel times for each of these countries and other travel tips.

Without a doubt, one of the best places to stay is this perfectly shaped boutique resort, located a few blocks back from the water.

For travelers looking for a place to stay and relax for a few weeks, the Royal Hotel would be an excellent choice. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore this region of Cambodia, which is gradually becoming a tourist destination. The rooms at the Royal Hotel are among the best you'll find in a cheap hotel in Cambodia - and value for money is good all over the country. For example, a hotel of the same quality outside Phnom Penh would cost three times as much, without a single room.

If you don't mind paying a little more, you can travel between Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Battambang by renting a private car and driver for a day. If you are really under time pressure or just want to be accompanied by a guide, visit us at the Royal Hotel for one night.

In most hotels you can book a train ride or arrange it by motorcycle or tuk-tuka driver. Visit Mr. Ol, a local tUK tuk driver who will take you to the mountains, or ask at the Bambu Hotel.

You can arrange a taxi from your accommodation at the end of the day, but it costs a little more than the cost of a train ride or a tuk-tuk driver. A full day will allow you to reach Siem Reap in less than an hour and a half from the Bambu Hotel, or even in a few hours.

A boat trip offers a unique view of Cambodia as the route passes farms, fishing villages and local settlements. The 7-hour boat ride takes you through floating villages, one of the best ways to get into the city.

The Wat Banan Temple is not as common as Angkor Wat, but that is what makes it great. On weekdays, however, the temple will probably have one of the best views of the ruins of Battambang in the region, and you will appreciate the fact that its ruins are in dilapidated condition. The most visited ruins of this region are the temples of Wat Phnom Penh and Wat Banon as well as the temples of Phuket, Phuon Phrae and Khon Kaen. Compared to Ang Khae it is not ruined compared to Angdang Wat or Angksor Thom.

Unfortunately, Battambang is not operated by the same company that takes you from Siem Reap to Bangkok. If you are south of Batt Ambang City, you often combine a trip to Phnom Banan with a visit to Ang Khae or Angksor Thom, which I recently visited.

If you want to continue to Vietnam, you have to return to Phonm Penh with a tuktuk from Phnom Banan or Angksor Thom or even from Battambang. Most travelers head to Cambodia's second-largest city, Siem Reap, which is also on the Mekong. Once in Siem Reap, you can drive to the center with a TukTuk, although it is quite a long way (4 - 5 USD per Tuck) and you will have to wait a while.

Several bus companies, including Phnom Penh, Angksor Thom, Siem Reap and Battambang Bus Company, operate several buses between Phnom Penh and Battlebang every day. You can also book in person at one of the many hotels in the city, such as the Royal Hotel and the Hotel du Bien Pham.

One boat per day leaves Siem Reap for Battambang, departing Siem Reap at 07: 00, with one boat per day leaving at 08: 30 and one at 10: 45. After relaxing in the hotel, you can pick up a motorcycle or tuk-tuk (tuk) to start your snack tour of Batt Ambang at 09: 15.

There are a number of important temples around Battambang, including the Kratie Temple, the Phnom Penh Temple and the Angkor Wat Temple. You can also stay overnight at the Tourism Training Center in Kratie, which trains disadvantaged young people in Cambodia's tourism industry and tourism management. Double for $10 and stay in the floating village of Phuket, home to the largest floating villages in the world. There are a variety of tourist attractions such as temples, restaurants, shops, cafes, hotels and restaurants.
